Speaker formats
We keep the programme tight and purposeful. Whether you want to go deep or spark a quick conversation, there's a format for you.
Keynote
45–60 minutes. Keynotes open and close the conference. We invite a small number of speakers who've shaped how the Ruby world thinks. Expansive, personal, and memorable.
Talk
The backbone of the programme. You get 30 minutes to share something you've genuinely learned — a deep dive, a hard-won lesson, or an idea worth spreading.
Lightning Talk
Short, sharp, and often the most surprising part of the day. 15 minutes to share one crisp idea, a tool you built, or a story from the trenches. Great for first-time speakers.
Workshop
Hands-on, small-group, and built for doing. Participants bring laptops and leave with something working. Workshops run in parallel — attendees choose based on what they want to build.
Speak to India's
Ruby community
India has a large, passionate Ruby community that rarely gets to hear directly from practitioners who've built things at scale. This is your chance to change that.
We keep the conference single-track so every speaker gets the full room's attention. No competing sessions. No split audience. Just you, your ideas, and a community ready to listen.

"The best conferences are the ones where the hallway conversations are as good as the talks. Deccan Queen is exactly that."

First time speaking?
We actively encourage people submitting their first ever talk. CFP reviewers give constructive feedback, and we pair first-timers with an experienced speaker mentor.
